Went Topless Today!!

Post by todds112 »

Really nice today here. I got the tops rolled up and did some "open air" wheeling.

The cab cover was a bit more of a pain to roll back than I expected. Found the rubber straps with hooks tucked up above the rubber "head pads" to secure the cab cover once it was rolled up.

Took the upper door frames off too. Surprised there was no rust under it. Gonna do the door handle mounting as seen on the SDP site tomorrow.

Might get up to 70 here by the weekend!

I was susrprised by how little turbulence there was in the cab. I think my Jeep might actually be louder (wind noise).

When removing and reinstalling your front top remove the canvas supports and door jams first, this will allow the windshield to be flexed back and make R/R easier even if the top has shrunk.
