Wow, very similar. Actually uglier than the Pinz I think. Any info on the drive train? Straight axles, etc?

Definitely not a Pinz drive train but it is a 4x4. Here is a link to some pictures I found:

Hmmm, mechanically more like a Volvo. Looks like about as close to copying the Pinz body as they could get. Steyr-Puch must not have had patent attorneys on retainer.

On the pictures from Russ's link, it looks like the rear is a classical leaf-sprung live axle, with no sign of portal axles...

Also, the picture of the levers shows a 2wd-4wd lever (same as on the pinz), a rear diff-locker lever, a missing front diff-locker lever (if I interpret the picture well :?: ), and more interestingly, a transfer case with a Power Take-Off.

Laverda is more known for its motorbikes, and a few websites mention this vehicle as being an aborted project... so this could be a rarity.
