Where did you mount speakers?

Post by audiocontr »

I'm not sure i want to do boxes as they are easy to "remove". Where have you all mounted speakers and how was it done?

I'm eyeing the corners of the roll bar, directly above your ear...

that's where mine are. Keep in mind that your balance will have to be set considerably to the right side to get any semblance of a stereo.

I fixed the Pioneer 2 way speakers in a very simple way:

A piece of flat iron is bent 90* and screwed to an existing mounting hole in the rear of the roll hoop (arrow). The bend avoids that it turns despite there's only a single screw.

The speakers have some thread inserts and are mounted to these iron brackets.

The radio itself is installed at the roof (2nd pic).

Works fine and looks ok.

That last photo of the cockpit is re"coc"ulous. Thats incredibly cool, and yet, incredibly dorky at the same time. I love it.

Its EXTREMELY difficult to find those type of Pioneer speakers. I've been looking for quite some time as they would make my life VERY easy. Instead im forced to create mounting plates for regular car speakers.

You're kiddin? It is difficult to find such speakers? Why don't you just go to Amazon and order them: http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-TSX150-60 ... =pd_cp_e_1

Does all that stuff really DO something?! Very cool. Reminds me of the Batmobile or something.

Wow, do you work for NASA? That is about the coolest Pinz cockpit I've ever seen. you need to do a diagram and label all the switches, lights, guages so we can see what they do.

It's not mine, the car belongs to another forum member....

But I think it all works:

- seatheating
- cameras for reverse
- 2 CB's
- tire pressure control
- temp in/out
- alarm
- warning for open doors
- Garmin & Terratrip
- compass
- 2 full level controls
- consumption meter
- oil temp
- wiper intermediate
- search light
- tachometer
- speedcontrol
- winch control
-....

Lot's of tricky stuff....
