Calico Mogfest is only 2 months away. Are you ready to take care of all those little issues or tune ups? Ramona Motors will be having a Pinzgauer Tech Day on September 12.

Jim LaGuardia of GoatWerks will be on hand to offer advice, technical expertise and repair / mod services throughout the day. If you haven’t had a chance to meet Jim and you own or want to own a Pinzgauer, you need to show up. Although Jim's advice and personality are free, his repair services and tune-ups are not. ;)

We will have refreshments and barbecue available, if you desire adult beverages, it has to be BYOB.

If you think you have a special need, or might need parts to complete your service, repair, etc., please acquire the required parts and bring them with you. If you’re not sure, contact Jim LaGuardia at GoatWerks.com BEFORE the tech day. We are right next door to a Kragen and an AutoZone, so oil, gear oil, etc. are easily available.

About a week ahead of time, we will request RSVP so we know how much food / drinks to purchase.

Ramona Motors is located at
1939 Main Street
Ramona, CA 92065

See you there!

Are there any suggestions on a demonstration/repair topic?

Can you demo how to change my stock motor into a 2.7 high compression fuel injected monster? I'm sure everyone would like to see that! ;)

I would LOVE to be there.... but I will be on a cruise in Alaska, and will miss it....I know, don't feel sorry for me

A subject I would reccommend is ~ how to "check the vehicle" for potential problems, early signs of cracks, wear and tear...things to check to prevent major repairs later...

I have not experienced any thing major yet...but I would say that would be good time spent!

I think it's time for another valve adjustment / carb tuning session. I'm sure that there would be some interest in that.

I will be joining you for Techday and have stuff to work on

I will be joining you for Techday. I have the following issues that need resolving:

After playing around at the NWMF UBERPINZ is dieseling and that noise that sounds like a speedometer cable going out seems to be present when going up hill under load. I also hear that rhythmatic sound in the left hub, (at least that is where it seems to be coming) from around the 40-55 miles per hour range (noisier when on a hill). I seem to have blown another exhaust gasket, what’s going on with that? Also it maybe time to have a valve job done.

Any training around any of those and more would be appreciated.

Since Mike and Jim were so kind to pick up some furniture for me south of San Diego, I guess I'll be there, especially when they said they'd turn it into kindling if I didn't!

For anyone taking the "tech day" literally....don't ! Like the Gatherings I hold in the Los Angels area, this is an opportunity to learn more about yours and others Pinzgauers. The best way to learn something is to have someone show you, or to listen to a sound to determine if it's normal or not.

Also contact me if anyone wants me to bring any tinted windshields or door glass sets with me.
