Fake pinzgauer Auction just for fun!
pretend your in the market for a Pinzgauer 710K and you got up to 20 grand to spend you see this classified add On a well known Auction site ,and this is the truck you want. http://www.real4x4forums.com/PinzgauerB ... f=5&t=7641
your mechanic gave you the go ahead . how much are you willing to spend ? please only submit the amount you will actually pay for the truck dont say spend it all just to win the auction also don't worry about shipping cost because remember its a fake auction Good luck bidding !
Just for fun i thought it would be interesting to know what you guys would pay because you know the trucks best.
Leave the dollar amount as a reply and you can always bid again if you really want the truck.but don't overpay !!
I know there's probably a million factors that i didn't think about and there's a million different ways this could be done but just have fun ! Also if you have questions about the truck that will affect your bid, ask just like you where really buying .

clean, pretty rust free. If the roof seams are as rust free as the rest of the truck, Id bid $10k Only because I would want to get a cool front bumper and some roll protection from Fat Fabrications. A new winch, Corbeau seats, an a 2.7 upgrade. All for under or at $20k. but thats just me.

Just to throw into the mix since Andre brought it up - how much is a 2.7 upgrade with all the works (cyl, cam etc and labor done by Jim L lets say!)
That will affect my top bid

Last time I was shopping, He was up close to the 4K range provided it was rebuildable. R+R extra, shipping not included. That was a few years back.

I paid 13K for my M, 7 years ago. I would give him his price of 11K for a good running and looking K. Paint color is not a problem as rattle cans come in OD and
you can do the whole vehicle for under $25.

I'd say 11 is a good price for it but I'm not a K model fan in general but it is a good value at 11K. On E-bay it will get a lot more visibility than just the forums or craigslist as some people just don't go on the forums. May get some good visibility on some crossover forums like samba expedition portal etc even airsoft or paintball. When I was selling mine I had lots of interest but nobody wanted to jump on my price till it went on ebay and then a dealer bought it for my asking price as he knew the truck. Spring is a better time to sell as well. Christmas Holiday time is when nobody has any free cash to spend on big stuff as everybody is spending for others. Look at Bruce Deleports 712 Ambulance it was nice and clean and sold for a decent price I'm guessing by what he was asking and it sold pretty quick and I don't think it was a bargain price but a fair price. Sometimes if you price something low to sell quick people get scared and worry about whats wrong with it. Ask a premium for it and people see it as a premium vehicle and may haggle trying to get a bargain on that premium vehicle. Lots of cheap Pinz's out there but most need a bunch of work so it is definitely a hard call on value for someone to guage by an online add.

Seemed like K's went for $14-18 grand several years back, if they were "decent". My personal opinion is that the rear panel having a different color speaks of a repair or other issue, so a single color would tend to show better. But you know what they say about first impressions. I'd say it is worth around 11-12k.

Without a/c the 710K is almost useless down here.
I would offer $ 8,000 for it.

Re: Fake pinzgauer Auction just for fun!
The unappealing paint situation definitely hurts value for me. If you know about the vehicles, then the detail shots clue you in that it's well looked after, but to the general public the paint situation, especially the horrid gloss green, is a real turn off. Fix that and it's a whole different equation.
Don't mean to be hurtful when I say this.

I'm partial to the K, so I would say $15K, and wouldn't change anything, except the Maloyas and the paint.

+1 on the paint
go one general color or go camo.

8 K.
I wouldn't pay any thing more than 12 K for a 710 unless it was factory refurbished or NOS.

$100 or so worth of paint will make your sale. No attention to the paint would make me think what else did the seller not pay attention to.
New tires would be nice but I don't think that would raise the value enough to offset the cost.
