Found Pictures of your Pinz

Post by TechMOGogy »

Figured I would start a thread about "found" online photos of your Pinz
Photo's of your Pinz, that have been taken by other parties, that you weren't aware of until you ran across them online.
I will start off of this one of Bergers truck "Taken at Sparks Street Classic Car Show 2012"

Interesting that you 'find' these pictures. Where do you find them? That other folks think that your vehicle is worth posting to be seen is noteworthy. As long as they are not trying to sell
your vehicle without your consent.
If it makes it into an off road magazine, now that world be an adventure.

Fortunately since mine is a K and has door locks, if someone sells my truck without my knowledge or consent the "new owner" will have a slightly more difficult time driving off than with an M.

I found the photo on google images while showing a co-worker what mine looked like, and was surprised to find an exact match. There used to be another shot that popped up from a car show a few years ago in Culver City. Believe it or not, some people without Pinzgauers think our trucks are unusual looking.

In today's world of camera's built into everything - people take pictures and post them to Instagram, their blogs, the net, facebook etc etc
Over on the Mog board there are quite a few "found" photos - Google maps and earth are fun places to look.
Unique vehicles just make for more photos of it.
Only reason I knew that pic of Berger's truck was not his was it was on some guys personal blog site

Found this thread apparently by a neighbor of mine, with a photo of my 710k not long after I'd bought it. Some terribly ill informed discussion about it too.

Apparently you have a lot of people to set right. There appears to be much misinformation out there and a huge proportion of folks willing to
let others know how little they know.

Happy trails

Today I was googling Pinzgauer and instead of looking at the text results, I clicked on "images"... I saw a vehicle, that I confess, looked not bad... Then I realized, it was MINE!

I found my vehicle on someones blog... too funny. The person bikes around San Diego and takes pictures of cars that catch his attention. Here is his page featuring my pinz that both Scott and Jim said may be better off scrap. It was one of the 7 or 8 originally bought for EI's Thor project and was body wise rusted out. I think EI used the top and rear door tops. Link below...
