Expedition imports, trust worthy?

I ordered and paid for, 4 sets of seat belts. 2 weeks ago and even after 3 emails, no response from Scott. What gives? I'm a manufacturer and I'm as guilty as anyone in forcing delays, but I do pride myself on at least getting back to suppliers with updates. He was quick on the emails when it was time to get paid. Are they a trusted source here? Why the silence and how long is a reasonable wait for 4 pairs of Etrack seat belts?

Confused new customer

Hmm, that is at least in my experience unusual for them. The are a trusted vendor here, I'm sure he will get back to you soon. More often than not I call them.

Very unusual. Call him and he will straighten it out. Been dealing with him for years.

Not making excuses, but two months ago Scott was getting some new computer system going, and wrote about it. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8864 I suppose he could be having "glitches" with it.

IIRC, he also had some health issues a while back that knocked him off his feet.

He's been around here too long for me to believe that he's not to be trusted. I too would expect that you'd hear soon.

I've recently bought a lot of stuff from Scott over a 3 month period.
I've found him to be honest, but somewhat busy or maybe distracted.
Sometimes he's a bit hard to get in touch with, and other times he
is a bit slow to return calls. He has delayed getting back to me for a
few weeks, at one point, but he eventually got to it.

I would definitely do business with him if I were you, just don't be afraid
to speak up if he gets distracted. He is a really nice guy when you get
to know him.

Ditto on what undysworld and others have said. I've done business with Scott since '06 and have been pleased with my transactions. He does sometimes get behind a bit during the busy season (now) but always comes thru with what you've ordered.

I'd give him a call.

I've called and left a message. No response. I suppose I'll just be patient. I installed my E tracks last week (ordered them after the belts) and now using old car seats secured with ratchet tie downs for my kids. It works but not ideal. I just wish he would let me know.

I have always had good service from Scott (EI) since 2006, when I first
met him.

He is very busy at times, suggest leaving a message on the phone or send an email.

Currently he is in the process of moving into a much larger facility,
moving vehicles, parts and tooling takes a while.

His family as well as himself had health issues lately. Short of a bit delayed for that he has never let me down. He actually has gone out of his way on more then one occasion to help out. He is always my first choice for parts.

He is also getting ready to move his Entire shop to a new building so that is keeping him busy (move, planning, design and layout of new shop etc etc etc)
He is 100% solid
Our world is not that of Ford or Chevy. There are only a few vendors and whether that is good or bad it is the way to is and sometimes we can't get the 24/7 instant service.
If I order something for a NA vehicle, if I don't get it when and how I want it, I go to someone else. With Mogs and Pinzgauers there is a tiny market and a tiny amount of people 'into' them.
Scott is a small shop (in the grand scheme of the auto world) but he will not steer you wrong or rip you off.
Cheers and welcome to the forum.

Scott's always on the spot for me, and I've had plenty of orders.
Only time I've experienced a delay in contacting him, he was out of the country on a "shopping" trip overseas.

Bless you Scott, hope all is well!
Ed

Scott finally got back to me today... He said he sold out to another customer and was waiting for another shipment :?

Hopefully my purchase will come in before I leave for my vacation in another week

I don't know what you mean about a reverse scenario but, have a little patience. If you want faster service get a jeep and quit running down the people that support our community.
