If you have just jacked it up and lowered it down and not driven it a bit then the wheels aren't where they will be after a drive.
I notice the same thing when I adjust the brakes.

Just wanted to report in on the shocks.....WOW! What a difference!
Not knowing any better, I just assumed the truck rode like it did because it was a 40 year old military vehicle. These new shocks have made the ride SOOO much better.

UPDATE
I have not gone through any water at all since installing them....well, nothing that would have gone past the centres of the wheels and even that is a stretch, but I have been in some heavy rain. I decided to lift a rear boot to check, and sure enough water drained out. I am not sure how long it sat in there, but that was enough to convince me. All of the shock boots have been removed.
