Re: Gurgel
That is one bizarre underside. The exposed engine would be worrisome.

Re: Gurgel
Is it 2wd? From what I see and read, it's basically a VW drive train. (??)

Weird video made with different pics of these. Some versions look kinda cool! Portals as well.

And one of a family driving one around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5wR_d14jF4

The x-15 is 4wd. Crazy OEM that fell when import rules changed in South America. I'd love to check one out.undysworld wrote:Is it 2wd? From what I see and read, it's basically a VW drive train. (??)

Re: Gurgel
Everything I've read on the gurgel X15 is that they were only 2wd. Basically a vw thing drivetrain but with coil springs in place of the tortious bars.
I'd rather have a Pinzgauer! Much better construction, design and engineering...
The Brazilian car I would want is the 1980s VW Gol - basically an Audi 80 (which was sold here as the VW Fox?) But with a front mounted air cooled 4 cylinder boxer engine.
