Ponz timing help needed

What is the correct degrees for timing on a 73 pinz and rpms setting

it depends ....

first
ensure that the distributor rotor "clicks back" to ensure the dynamic adjustment works
if not, disassemble and grease /fix

then
set the points to 0,4 mm
do a static setting using a test-lamp
once you got the tin humming, rotate the distributor until it "sounds right" ...

Do you have points or Pertronix ?

BTW this is covered in the operators manual (around page 150 iirc) if your truck is stock and on Scotts site if Pertronix has been installed.
