WTB - Pinzgauer 6.5J x 16 H2 Steel Wheels
WTB - Pinzgauer 6.5J x 16 H2 Steel Wheels
I am looking for a set of five Pinzgauer 6.5J x 16 H2 Steel Wheels (Part# 7101533152) in new or very good condition.
Re: WTB - Pinzgauer 6.5J x 16 H2 Steel Wheels
I have five wheels that I am willing to sell. I will send you a pm.
Re: WTB - Pinzgauer 6.5J x 16 H2 Steel Wheels
The part number you list is for the air-cooled Pinzgauers 710/712 - but you also included the designation "H2" which is a reference to the two "humps" which help to hold the beads on to the rim at low air pressures - these humps were not included on the air cooled Pinzgauer wheels (to my knowledge...) as the wheels were designed for tires with tubes and not modern tubeless tires.
If you want tubeless wheels with the H2 safety beads - you'll want to source a set of the Ford Transit van wheels. They have a lower offset which causes them to be slightly extended outward more - but not a significant issue for handling or bearing wear (its only 10 mm / 0.4 inches).

Thanks for all your responses. I will read through them more closely tonight.
I really appreciate it as I am new to this. I forgot to mention that they will be going onto my 1982 Mercedes 300GD (W460).
Can someone tell me how to subscribe to my own threads? I can't find it and I am not receiving notifications when you respond.
Thanks!

The air cooled pinzgauer wheels (and the ford transit wheels) will not fit on a g-wagen as it uses 5x130mm pattern not the 5x160mm pattern of the early Pinzgauers.
The later Diesel Pinzgauer's wheels will fit on g-wages but the deep backspacing might be an issue. You should also consider the 2002-2006 Sprinter steel wheels which are very similar to the original diesel Pinzgauer wheels but are only 6 inches wide.
There is a good reference sit on the Web of all the g-wagen wheel options - I'll see if I can find it.

Yes. That's where I got the information in my original post.
Supposedly either of these two Pinz wheels (see attached image) should fit a W460.
