I'm jealous of all the cool lights! I'm spending part of today doing some wiring/installing, but when the other half is out of town, what better way is there to pass the time?
Merry Christmas!

Re: Christmas Pinz
No I got real lazy and barely got anything done at all. I just sat there listening to the radio mostly and seeing if my new switch install will cover up some of the odd holes the previous owner had made in the console, as well as imaging what else I might need to install, oh and picking where to fit a dual band ham antenna without drilling a hole in the roof, then it was time to eat!

Re: antenna what about a mag mount or have Andre build that rear ladder and run the wire in the tubing and mount to one side at the top of ladder?

Re: Christmas Pinz
I don't like mag mounts in general for this truck plus I'd have to route the cable in a hole or door and that wont work for me. The ladder would be great but he's 1600 miles away plus I have no roof rack yet.
I'm considering the last type of mount that I ever thought I would: a glass mount! A ton of hams like them and it might serve as a good temporary until I can afford a rack one day. One guy tested his against a mag mount with a smaller Comet on it and he swears the glass mount performed better on both TX/RX.
