He was subjected to various weather conditions for four years, as he stood outside in the rain or sunshine before it was in working condition in 2014 it was driven there and parked. I cant start it because it dont have any fluids. Its really cheap actualy guy want 1000 bucks for it. What is your opinion? Sorry for my poor english.

Re: Pinzgauer 710
Reminds me of a song about a thousand dollar car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzim1iYhmGA
"A thousand dollar car ain't never gonna roll, until you go at least another thousand in the hole. Sink your money in it, and there you are, the owner of a two thousand dollar thousand dollar car.
The body looks like it's been attacked by iron moths, and God only knows what the inside of the gearboxes looks like. It's probably better used as a "parts" truck, imho. Even then, I'd want to see what the internals look like before I dropped any cash.

Re: Pinzgauer 710
If engine is free and no major parts missing I would buy it ASAP
Use it as an off-rod rig
Worse case is you will get your $1000 back in parts

Hello. Usually, you buy a vehicle and then a parts truck. You were able to score the parts truck first. Personally, I would buy it. Heck, you could sell the battery box and door to the other member of this board,Gadgetphreak, that crushed his. See, your already making money on it. So, it's no longer a $1000 truck. It's a $1000 truck minus what you make selling the battery box.

So, we're all agreed then? It's a "parts" truck, at best?

In my opinion if the body is in bad shape I would think so. But there is a body for sale on eBay for $2500.00.; I do not remember where it's at. If you do the work, you could probably get it ready for less than finding one complete. A nice pinz will cost about $12k here in the States. So if you can do a project and piece it back to health, you could have a running pinz for under $8k. Knowing what little I know about your find. But he lives near enough to the factory. A lot more spare parts in his neck of the woods

All in all, a good find. I'd buy it if it was near me. Good luck and let us know on progress.

Re: Pinzgauer 710
If a Pinz is in your future you need to get this asap...the spares alone would make this purchase pay off, even if only half of the driveline worked you'd still be well in front.
I'm from "Down Under" and I dream of finding a "Pinz for parts" and I reckon I'd be in for 5k...1k is a steal, we just don't have the Pinz numbers of much of Europe and USA. Does Slovenia have so many that you could let the spares on this one go?
Recently there was a 712 on Gumtree South Africa, it's wheels were lying in the grass around it and it was out in the weather but most of it was there even if it was sitting in the back, the asking price was $1900aud and a further $3000 shipping would have made this a good buy for me but it sold within 2-3 days so I missed out.
My 2 cents

Re: Pinzgauer 710
So, are there enough pinz laying about to make a visit to Slovinia a consideration? I mean, is there a pinz in every 3rd junk yard just waiting to be resurrected? I hear your tourism has seen an increase over the last year. Could an eastern European vacation be part of a pinz finder treasure hunt? That's how Ural got it's start in the States. Business man goes to Russia to sell potato farming equipment and ends up coming back with Urals.
By the way, after looking at the pictures again, I noticed that the lights were left on. That will kill the battery.... unless master switch is off ,that is.

Actually there is not alot of them here anymore alot of them go to Germany or Austria where they restore it back to life . This was actualy the only one for sell that i can found in a month end even this one was gone before i call guy back. We have here very bad winters here with alot of salt on the streats so rust kiling everything. So i looking for another and learning more about them
Re: Pinzgauer 710
I'm not surprised it got snapped up quickly at that price...you now know what to do IF happen across another 1K Pinzgauer.
This is a great place to learn about them, Happy Hunting.
