That's nice to know.

Even nicer would be the part #, etc., for others to reference to as well.

Can someone kindly share where the existing oil pressure switch is located? Can I use it to drive a relay to turn an electric fuel pump off, in the event I lost engine power?

Thank you! Dumb question, what does it do? I assume that it's simply a sensor to drive the light on the dash. Correct?

If I'm following the schematic correctly, +24V is run to the oil pressure warning light on the indicator strip and then a wire proceeds from the second terminal on the warning light to the sensor. If the engine loses oil pressure, the pressure switch closes to ground and illuminates the warning light. This is also why the light is on when you turn on the ignition switch.

So, yes, you are correct.

Related to this topic...
I noticed the other day my oil light went on while I was at light idling - truck was well warmed up.
As soon as I add a few RPM (idles about 875-900) the light goes out.
Pulled over and checked oil - levels were perfect
Any thoughts - bad switch?

Since the switch is relatively inexpensive, I would give that a try first.
Other than that, all other reasons for low oil pressure are not as easy to repair. Perhaps the oil pump has developed a leak? Or come partially loose? Jim LaGuardia would be a good resource for possible causes.

Makes sense
Engine was completely rebuilt so hopefully nothing serious already :)

After a few more test drives this is what I am thinking too
Only happens after driving straight for 1-2 hours
I can drive around for 30 mins, stop, shop, drive, etc and it does not happen

IMHO, add a Oil pressure sender and a Oil Temp sender -- esp. Temp.
Pressure senders typically have the idiot contact -- LOW pressure and
an analog output for actual pressure. Well worth the addition for
piece of mind.
