Interesting. I can see a plug-in electric Pinz doable. But a solar-powered Pinz seems to be a steep climb to a accomplish. Hope they can do it!

It's always cool to see someone try the impossible but if we are talking powering a car, much less a 4x4, with solar only, the technology just isn't there nor is it even close to being efficient enough. They would need panels the size of your average corn field on top of the truck for starters.

Good luck with that one.\ Agree with Vince. Even if you had a Solar conversion
efficiency of 100% the best y'd do is 13KW off the roof of a 712. That's not gonna
cut it. And the best panels on the market today are less than 20% efficient or 2600W,
hairdryer power.

Maybe it's not meant literally but it sure seems that way. Building a full camper set-up with the usual appliances that can sit on it's own for a few days, being powered (charged) with solar only is enough of a challenge alone.
