2019 SW Mogfest

Post by rmel »

-- UPDATED ---

Well Mogfest is approaching -- but a NEW location. Historically we would meet up
at the KOA Calico. Due to the KOA being booked up by another event, the
organizers, Joe et al had to move the location to Troy Meadow campground
(nowhere near Barstow).

I suppose the good news is new territory to explore and get lost in.
Details at the MOGFEST.COM web site as well as Facebook.

Exactly at a time when I cant drive anything worth bringing. Damn. Thanks for the update though! It needs a new location anyway.

By the way, what's "channel 4" on a HAM? ://

Ya, I thought that HAM channel notice was funny too.

Well Vince time for another Pin'y or C-series -- No?

Stopped in for the Friday night fire and to pick up a t-case. Talk about the middle of nowhere! Saw 3 shooting stars on the way back, it was cold with clear skies.
Very nice campground.

How many showed up? More fun location than the Barstow camp?

That T-case was mine  A 710 case intended for my 712 (one of these days).

I was the sole Pinz at this event up until Friday night when one more showed up.
You feel pretty darn tiny next to soooo many Mog's

I need to do something more to keep this event on my radar. I only now noticed this thread and would have otherwise zipped down there from Vegas in a heartbeat. Oh well, maybe next year...
