Bad idea for New York. You'll rot out after the second salt season.
Buy one and drive it occasionally, selectively, patiently. Buy a cheap s-10 or Ranger for bopping around NY States salted winters.

HAHA, my wife would just yell louder, more concerned about the dog. Just kidding honey.
Really looking for the soft top.
After reading the responses, may just buy a weekend toy and a lifted suburban for daily use.

You're thinking upstate. Down here on the island the water moderates the snow. We have winters similar to yours or even milder.Bad idea for New York. You'll rot out after the second salt season.

Hello Stekay follow Long Islander. You have a Pinz or Volvo?
Where you located? I don't want to get stranded after last years hurricane season, too many roads where unpssable due to high water, trees and limbs down, etc. Would be nice not to have to worry about being able to get around or off the Island if neccessary, or Bug Out to my out of state property if need be.
Oh, and I build Hot Rods not Street Rods, street rods are to refined, I like my rides old and rough around the edges. lol

I have a Pinz 710K in Huntington & Peresh has a 712M in Oyster Bay as well. I've heard there's a couple of 712's out east at the vinyards too.
