Are Maxxis MT-762 Bighorns GTG?
Are Maxxis MT-762 Bighorns GTG?
Search shows hits mostly for Volvo and Haflinger. Are these a good choice for the Pinz in 255/85-16? Ive seen some good deals on these and $50-60 per wheel x 7 adds up to real money, esp. with a baby on the way. I like the fact they are puncture resistant. I used to get a lot of rocks and cactus spines in my tires on my XTerra before I switched to the Goodyear Eagles with Teflon. The BF Goodrich are unusually expensive in this size.
I've had good luck with Taiwanese products in the past such as a TGB ATV with prices seemingly too good to be true but turned out to be excellent products.

People seem to like them a lot. Been around a while too. I wouldn't expect a ton of miles out of them but I'd go for it if you get a good deal.

The company I ordered from tried to do a bait and switch. Order cancelled. Back to long for a bargain.

treadwrights have been serving some of our members well. As time goes by the are getting more tire patterns available.
Re: Are Maxxis MT-762 Bighorns GTG?
The followings WEB site consistently lists all tire options by size or by diameter.
If you enter 255/85-16 some interesting options (Treadright is not listed as it’s not considered a new tire). I like Toyo’s if you can afford them https://tiresize.com/

I've had my Maxxis Bighorns for quite a few years now and I've liked them. Plenty of traction when new, but are definitely worn now. The price is usually good on them.

I just looked over the 7 Transit wheels I ordered from a van conversion company. I'll take another look at tires. Ive found some deals on eBay but everyone has less than 7.

Re: Are Maxxis MT-762 Bighorns GTG?
All is well. Got 7 tires from another vendor and ended up being cheaper with free shipping. Got 7 Transit wheels. Once is gouged up so the vendor is shipping another. No harm in having 2 spares.
Having a baby tonight so the pinz is going to have to wait a bit (aside from passing smog and finishing registration).
