VDO Speedo

Post by buffalo_710m »

My Odometer just died and am leaning towards the VDO electric speedo km/mph.

I'm sure this topics has been dealt with "pre-hack", nevertheless it'd be nice to have a comprehensive summary and user input regarding advice, rants, raves, ease of installation, tip/tricks.....

Thanks - Buffalo

Electric Speedo

I went with VDO setup although I would go with a manual one in a second. The calibration does hold up for some reason.

From my experience, the calibration stays programmed unless you disconnect the battery cables. Then it must be recalibrated.

It shouldn't do that. It should retain all memory. 3 Pinzes with VDO speedos and never a problem, and regularly used the battery disconnect
