He needs more ground clearance , take him to a nice challanging trail to humble him
I too had a friend that thought he could go anywhere my 710m goes, after a mild humbling experience he now knows better

I've owned multiple Toyotas and I've owned multiple Pinzgauers. Even the best Toyotas are not even in the same league as a Pinzy!

So what does it have in common with a Pinzy? It's green, has four rubber tires, and burns the same gas. That's about it!!! Your friend is dillusional!!!

You can compare anything to a Pinz..... just not always positively
.
The Trojan Horse... the 1st Pinz used to covertly carry troops into battle .

trucks

I saw a Jeep wrangler with axles, drive train, and tires from a unimog. He's still working on it. It will be interesting to see if the straight six will push all that.

I would need a latter get into it. What a monster.

I asked him if he wanted a unimog, go buy a unimog. But some just want to see what can be done.

vehicles are works of art. some artists seem to be better than others but no one should be discouraged.

So true, so true.

I don't have one tool in my toolbox, and I don't have one rifle that I can hunt everything that I hunt with. I guess that can be true with 4 wheel drives as well.

People will rock crawl, mud run, trail ride, and etc.. Make one if you can not find what you need it for.

I'm just one of those guys that, well get the tool that comes the closest to fitting the bill and I don't try to exceed the limits. But, I'm older now and at one time I didn't have limits so to the ones that do modifications and they work, I say good for you. It is your time and money. Not everyone will have one. I guess that's why everyone is here, they drive something that is different and the "Wow" factor.

Just my thoughts, and I've been wrong before as my wife and kids like to remind me. :D

electric

drastic bummer for a toyota to ever end up in a mess like that.

on the art of design note, i'm hoping someday someone will consider an electric pinz an artistic challenge:

In defense of the Toyota take a look at this video from Top Gear -

Top Gear is one of the few TV programs I go out of my way to try to catch every week. Fortunately for those who don't get BBC America there is good selection of Top Gear content on YouTube.
