I have the same issue but after cleaning connector checking all wires I found that mine over charging with the voltage regulator was the culprit installed a new one and all good for 3 months now

Also new 600.00 sealed silicate Napa battery's of the correct size for the vehicle

Also have some extra items like the hitch conversion for standard trailers and the wheel center step.

Unfortunately i need to sell my Pinz 1975 710 in great shape starts and purrs nothing wrong with it that i am aware of good tires brakes etc asking 6500.00 will post pictures or email them to people interested thanks all.

Well checked all the above the fan belt seems a bit loose but now i have to figure out how to adjust it doing research now as i don't see anything obvious is it like a vw with shims?

Run down of what i have done.

1. replaced batteries about 12 months ago (cleaned all connections)
2. replaced regulator 18 months ago (cleaned molnex connector on back off alternator)
3. cleaned anything else i can find and added electrical connector grease.

Problem i have now is running down the ...
