Re: Batteries

Thanks Ron as always. I just wondered. I usually have a couple 12+v batteries with me for radios that may power the pinzssi but not be good for cranking.

Re: Batteries

On a little side note and out of curiosity, if one was on the road and had this problem, could an external 12v source be applied to the PinzSSi just to get the vehicle started. The PinzSSI runs from a 24v to 12v DC to DC converter. Would bypassing the converter work? If even directly from the one ...

Re: Batteries

It is possible. If those voltages are after charging, then the 11.5v did not take a full charge and is probably bad. Cranking voltage would be even lower.

Re: Pinztronix now available online

I think? this is good news in that there now seems to be a potential alternative to my PinzSSI if it ever fails me. And it is pretty remarkable that it could be better than a PinzSSI in performance. In my opinion that would be hard to beat. It looks like Ron beat me to the question about the used ...

Re: Rotella users: T4 or T6?

Interesting video, thanks! But all of it was discussing use in direct injection gasoline engines. How does that transfer to our older carbureted engine?

Donation inbound! C'mon guys. this forum is very valuable to all of us. Even if we don't post frequently, the "library" of information stored in the tech files is of great value.

Re: Help with shifter removal

Thanks! It looks straight forward but that pin will not budge. One would think the plastic shim means it is a little loose. I thought maybe it was tapered but the drawing does not imply that.

Help with shifter removal

I need help. I am helping a friend with his 710m and we need to remove the shifter. We can not get the "shifter shaft" removed. This is Group: 02-30-03 in the diagram. The roll pin, Group 02-30-02, has been removed. We really don't see a plastic bushing, Group: 02-30-01. We have tried to punch this ...
