I renewed the license online and received my new registration certificate and tags for the plate in the mail the end of last week. This morning I got an e-mail from the DMV stating that they are refunding my renewal ...

I sent e-mails to Rep. Sheridan and Sen. Robson's offices. Got a response from Rep. Sheridan's office that they will coordinate with Sen. Robson and check into it.

I got the same letter from the WI DMV. The day after I got the letter, I received my renewal notice for my license plate. So it seems that not everyone in the department is on the same page.
