Wooden Rub Rail Replacement - My solution

I'd like to share photos of the steel replacement items I made but am having trouble bringing them to the Real4X4.com Forum.

Any suggestions on how to do that?

WHAT I DO IS PUT PICTURES ON PHOTOBUCKET.COM THEN CLICK ON "IMAGE CODE" THAT WILL COPY IT, SHOULD SHOW LITTLE NOTE SAYING COPIED WHEN YOU DO THAT. IF NOT HIGHLIGHT CODE "CUT" ( CRTL +C )
THEN IN BODY OF MESSAGE HERE JUST PASTE IT ( CTRL + V ) THERE AND IT SHOULD SHOW
THEN REPEAT IT FOR EACH PICTURE.

Let's see if the photos show up this time. Assuming they do....

We made them out of 3.5" X 3" steel channel material that were tapered on each end. They're pretty beefy and should be durable long term. Our 13 year old son thought it would be cool to add a rip saw treatment to them (^-^-^-^-^) but we thought that might be perceived as a little "anti-social".

Looks good! I did something very similar but with smaller C channel. I also made each side in 2 pieces for ease of installation. If you haven't already done so, consider putting rubber grommets behind the rail around each fastener. This sets the rail slightly off the body and allows water, etc. to drain out.
