Bloodbox in Tecpan - Atitlan May 1, 2, 2009

Post by karoja »

Hello,

here a couple of pictures of our last outing. Unfortunately, miscalculated the center of gravity of our Bloodbox (this with gerry cans on top empty). Fortunately, no physical damage to my son and myself, just bruised egoes. Bloodbox also got away ONLY with very minor fibergalss damage to left side, a bent left mirror, and a slight dent in front of left door. Took two high lifts and 2 winches to get the vehicle up again, about 35 minutes of work. Camped w/o any issues at night.

I will need to be very careful on my next expeditin to Peten (north part of Guatemala) in Octobrt, ehrtr I cannot dfo w/o the cans on top being full, as there are no gas stations on about 300 kilometers.

Saludos,

Glad to hear the tip-over wasn't bad. Your campground on the shore of Lake Atitlan looks perfect. Wish I was there!
