E-Trac and seatbelts - NEED help! Mounting questions

For those of you with E-tracs and seatbelts...

Where did you buy the E-trac? I know where to buy the belts!

Also - Do you have pics of your E-trac installation?

OK I ordered a bunch of seatbelts from Expedition Imports and I ordered some Etrac and already got it!

Today I realized that there isn't an easy way to mount the etrac in the pinz.

I'm looking for suggestions and pics if anyone has any!!!

I hope you don't mind me piggy-backing onto your thread, but I also would like this information. I've seen a few pics before, but the detail was not great and I couldn't figure out what they were doing! I don't know how you feel about it, but I would prefer an install that doesn't show any hardware or require me to drill new holes on the EXTERIOR of the Pinz. I'm sure there's some mechanical guru on here that has a great install and wants to share with tons of pictures! -Jon

I attached my E-trac to the vertical side panel braces, 2 bolts for each brace with a large square washer to reinforce the brace from the rear. My rear seat belts are primarily for keeping passengers from sliding around on low speed off-road rides. I would probably find stronger anchor points if for highway use. If you slide the E-trac all the way down you could anchor them into the heavy square tube chassis member that the side panels are bolted to.

I did this at first, and the seats would not close! I had to grind off about 1/4" of the seat plate to clear the E-track, not terribly pretty.

But I learned on the one side.

On the other side, I raised the E-track up as Paul did but I added 1" square steel tubing behind the lower portion of the E-track to stiffen it. The square tubing also fits behind the lip of the side rail vertical stiffeners where they can. The E-track bolts through the stiffener lip and into a riv-nut installed in the square tubing, also every 8-10" along the tubing. With this setup the E-track won't bend (easily) if a heavy pull is placed on it; I also use it for tie down straps for cargo. Since most any pull on the straps pulls "up", stiffening only the bottom edge of the E-track has worked well.

Sorry, no pictures yet. But I have found that I can put a small broom (with a somewhat shorter handle, so it can be used inside the truck) tucks neatly behind the E-track for storage.

Finished one side today - not too bad of a job - I mounted mine a tad bit higher than the picture.

I did a similar install to Paul's and learned from his clearance problem. Used a 2x4 as a spacer on the bed (712M) and put E-trac on top; then used #14 Home depot self tapping screws (with rubber washer) to drill into uprights. Both sides 25 minutes - use a real drill with a cord.
