New Owner

Post by Stekay »

Well, I just drove my "new" 710K the two blocks from the transporter to my house... I just finished the flashlight inspection and boy am I STOKED to start getting to know it better!

I spent the last 3-4 weeks reading the archives. What a great community! Special thanks to Scott, Jim, Dennis and the many others that have already educated me, and will be in the future. -Steve

Welcome Steve!

You're off on the right foot by reading through the archives. Lots and lots of information there.

Let the madness begin !

That's EXACTLY what the transporter driver said. He had a load of exotics, Mercedes, Ferrari, etc. and wherever he stopped, he said people ALL wanted to know what's that tall thing on the back? The fellow I bought it from also said, "getting gas takes a lot longer than you're used too". haha!

People in my neighborhood are used to me now and they wave. New places are filled with new people and a trip to Home Depot
is usually fraught with a Q and A period, not usually a problem as long as no one is under it when I want to go.

Mine came to my door on a trailer carrying a ferrari and a built mopar pickup....my usually quiet country road was developing into a traffic jam when the transporter was trying to get my pinz off of it I actually had to tell a couple of cars to get the hell outa the way so I could get my vehicle down. Was offered cash for the pinz before it even came off the trailer...incredible attention no matter where I go :D

Wow, what a coincidence! My pinz was also delivered on a transporter with a ferrari. I can still remember the driver's words - "I got a lot of funny looks on the motorway. I couldn't tell if it was your thing or the ferrari. I think it was your thing."
