And people wonder why I go to the trouble I do to pack Pinz glass the way I do, and don't ship windshields.

In case some hadn't seen it

This kind of thing has been happening for a long long time...even before the guy thought up UPS......a long, long time ago, I was a soldier in the British Army of the Rhine Based at Lippstadt near Bielefeld in North Rhine Westphalia, West Germany....I wanted a licence to play with the bigger trucks, and they gave me one. One of my first assignments driving one of these trucks was to take the Boxes of some guys who were moving to another base/country to the shipping place at Bielefeld. We loaded the boxes carefully....'Fragile this way up' we strapped them down carefully and made sure we treated them with respect.....but when we got to the shipping place the local labour guys jumped up onto the truck and started kicking and throwing the boxes off the back....we reported it when we got back to base, but they just said "yes they always do that" make sure you pack your boxes with a lot of padding inside and nothing breakable.....good advice that I always remembered through my 15 years of service around the world.
