My film (off topic)

Post by VinceAtReal4x4s »

As some of you know, I was working on an independent film for some time now while doing cinematography related gigs for food money.

The most popular spot for releasing new movie trailers, which is the iTunes trailer page, just posted my project "Blue Ridge"! The poster/link was listed on their main page right beside Spiderman and The Avengers, funny enough.

We will be premiering (finally outside of festival circles) at one of the top rated theaters in the US, the Alamo Drafthouse. I'll be at their new theater in Winchester, Virginia in June (likely the 7th). It will show at a few limited theaters after that and will be available on iTunes, Vudu, Amazon.com (on DVD as well) and other VOD services in HD.

In case anyone is curious, check out the trailer page! (watch the 720p version for best effect)

And here's the poster and facebook page which has all the updates. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Ridg ... 4125451735

The trailer looks interesting Vince. Who'da thunk one of our group was so talented?

But "Vincent Sweeney"?? Maybe it's just flashbacks of Vincent Price, but it makes you sound like a horror film director.

Thanks for the heads-up, and good luck with your film!

Break a leg...or is that only for stage actors? Interesting start, might put this on my 'got to see' list, if only for the fact that I have heard of the filmmaker.

Wow, Vince, how cool is THAT! I hope it gets picked up BIGTIME!

(Is there a Volvo cameo in it? That could be your trademark, like Hitchcock!)

I practiced the first 4years of my career in Gallipolis, OH and Point Pleasent, WV. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole movie. I'll never forget watching some of the people at the state fairs who came out of the back woods of rural Appalachia. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole movie ( with or without cameo C303's or 712's)!

This looks pretty good... the actress puts some interesting quirks into her character from what I can see in the preview... Looking forward to seeing the whole thing. :D

Perhaps you should have noted your name as Vincent Sweeney Todd!

Good luck with it. When Joan Rivers comes out to interview you on the red carpet, rather than asking WHO you're wearing, she can ask, "what the hell is THAT thing you're driving?"

Very powerful trailer Vince. Looks like a griping story.

The Milk Duds are ready and in hand. Can't wait to see it.

Thanks for the comments guys. Unfortunately small films like this are extremely lucky to show in even one legitimate theater, much less several. The ad budgets for the big ones are in the millions where mine is nothing. The chances of it coming near you are very small but it will go wide for streaming soon. DVD's will be available in June or July (not sure which yet).

No forward-cab trucks made it in this first film, but if my next project gets funded in the future (its larger and more commercially viable), a 710 Pinz will likely be a featured car in part of it.

We have a Sundance theatre here in Houston so hopefully we'll get a shot at it. Of course you'll be selling the DVDs here on the forum to your loyal followers?

I'm just getting back home after showing my film in a few theaters on the east coast, and driving back across the US!

It's now available on iTunes, Playstation and Vudu so far, for those with Smart TV's or streaming devices. Amazon VOD and others are coming soon.

And finally the DVD is now for sale here, before it goes on Amazon.com!
