I plan to remove the receiver when I'm done, to limit the problems with ground clearance off-road. The next step will be to make it easy to bolt on and remove, probably by welding the nuts to the winch plate. I just have to ensure that the nuts don't foul the winch line when spooling the line.


The bolt-on came from Harbor Freight. It is rated for 500/5000 lbs. l will address the wiring I did for the trailer lights in another thread in the electrical section.
