Well IMHO that's a great price for this truck. And Jim L. serviced this one.
** If anyone out there is sitting on the fence jump on this **
BTW if you are experiencing some sudden backfiring (or post-ignition).
Check your timing, may have slipped. Possibly the Distributor clamp was
loose or the timing disk slipped. You should set the static timing to be
slightly advanced e.g. ~2mm.

Re: 1975 710 K for sale in las vegas
thank you Ron for the kind words. Jim thinks it's the SSI system giving up and said to re-install the old distributor (pertronix) and that should fix everything. i'm wondering if a valve might be stuck and the waste spark system is firing that second cylinder causing the backfire thru the carbs. i'm not smart enough to know and haven't worked on it in awhile now.

A compression test is pretty easy to do and will tell you if there's
an issue. I've had two cases of Exhaust value recession where
compression was zip on one cylinder.
The best test is a Leak down Test -- if you have a Air compressor.
This will isolate an issue between Intake, Exhaust, and Rings as an
issue. The Harbor Freight tester is not that great but cheap. I
spent a bit more on an OTC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0030EVL60?th=1
You could try swapping out the PinzSSI with the Pertronix, but I'd
check your timing first it's very easy to do. PM me if you need any
help on that.
cheers,

Re: 1975 710 K for sale in las vegas
you are very nice to offer advice to me, as i do need it. i have a friend who will come over and do the compression test for me, but he is busy right now. i think he would follow your advice on these steps as he goes down the rabbit hole, chasing this backfiring issue. wish me luck.
