Pinzmeister, Hi I believe I talked to you not to long ago. Do you have any any pictures of the inside after the hard to has been installed?

The reason I started asking again, was I order something not to long ago by the time my credit card had been billed it was only $1 US 1.20 Euro. I'll probably just have something made here. My wife has been complaining about dust that comes in the back while driving down dirt roads. And the bugs that come into it at night.

A partial solution to the dust problem is roll down the curtain canvas between the cab and the back and roll up the sides and the back canvas. That or leave the back canvas and the sides down.

Another solution is...leave the wife home.

At todays exchange rate ( 16 october ) cost would be 2164 usd, plus shipping. I will post some pictures of exterior and interior with side windows and seats fitted as soon as I can.

Any chance of getting a hardtop just for the cab - maybe from a full top that was a blem or didnt come out right to be a full top?

are you any good at fabbing aluminum sheet metal? i fully, painstakingly and accurately scaled your truck cab and modeled it (and a gr8 roof) in solidworks.

Check with Scott and see if he has any 710K hardtops left. Cutting it right behind the rollbar would give you an exact match for the softtop, plus you'll have a sunroof. :D

Dave

PS.. I could take the remainer for some new adaptations for the Pink Cow

Glynn,

I modeled mine after Phil Kalamaros' cabtop kit. I had a local welder build it from 12 gauge steel and 1" square tubing. It is a bit heavy but very strong. The cab back adds to the roll structure, again more 1" tubing and 12 gauge steel. Totaled about $1200

Easy to insulate, tightened things up - not drafty anymore.

Check out the Yahoo Pinz group photo section "Toms 712M" for the cabtop pix.

I also listed photos under "Mapping Options"

Thats a nice top to Tom!!!

You are putting a AMB box on your 712M right!

We have to stay in touch!

Im planning on getting the remote camper jacks on and then the AC/HEAT and inverter with shoreline - I will take pics and post the progress so everyone can experience it - can you please do the same with yours - I think its a good thing for the forum to have sharing like that so people experience different modifications / styles and can share their projects also!!
