That to me is soooo pointless
I would however agree that he Perhaps upgraded the engine a bit

Lots of smoke and noise but it didn't move very fast.

Not a funny car with a 101 shell - is a proper 101 with a bigger engine (I think a Chev 350 but not sure) running on gas and with the front drive shaft connected. The vehicle is fully road legal and after the event he drives home and at other times is used offroad.
Here is a pic of the same vehicle without its burnout tyres offroad in our alpine area. When offroad the owner uses 20" Unimog wheels.

Nice thing about the Pinz is that you can drag race as much as you want and nobody will know!

I noticed the rear wing on your track truck. Did it help to keep the rear end down at high speeds?
