Thanks Nicholas! I'll check these out. Do the tent angles at either end make your head or feet feel cramped? Will

No, they don't. But I'm five feet, eight inches tall, so take that into account.

Some online reviewers of the taller variety said they did in fact feel the angles were too sharp; but if they positioned themselves diagonally in the tent, that is head in one corner feet in the other, then the fit was acceptable.

Just about everyone has noted that, despite the Quick Tent's XXl size rating, when actually mounted on the cot itself, there's only enough comfortable room for one average sized adult, not two. If the Quick Tent is pitched without mounting on the cot, that is directly on the ground like a normal tent, then a couple can get snuggly.

If you don't have a cute snugglebuddy, then I suggest mounting on the cot. Or just getting a new snugglebuddy.

You might also try OzTent. Good materials, about thirty seconds to one minute to pitch, several models available. Apparently specifically made for the overlanding crowd. Lots of YouTube reviews on these.

I have used these tents. They do go up quickly and are of excellent quality. They are heavy and are quite large when packed away. Probably not an issue if being placed in the back of a Pinz but with a normal 4wd like a Discovery 2 the tent in its bag is too large to go into the back and needs to go outside on the roof racks.

However good quality, easy to use but expensive.
