Peter, interesting stuff. I don't think a day goes by where I don't learn something new here or broaden my horizons somewhat.

It still boggles the mind that I am communicating with people from all over the world, you, Anthony, Jacques pops up now and again, Geneva Pinz and others. Mind boggling stuff.

Just thought I'd add my 712m to the list...Sonora, California.

I've tried to get a current tally of the number of Pinzies in California and as best as I can tell (not counting dealer stock) it is about 12.

Thanks for this topic, it interesting to see how many are about and being used!

Tom, there are more than that within 30 miles of me. I'd put it in triple digits.. You'd be shocked by the numbers of owners that are not on any of the lists. I wouldn't be surprised if there were 100 between Santa Barbara and the Mexican border.

I don't have any idea how accurate it is, but just checkout the members list for this site. It's huge.

Scouse is the dialect spoken in Liverpool some o the phrasiology can be quite funny at times.

I should imagine in many countries such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Rhodessa etc the is an affinity for GB as it would not have been many generations when some families first settled out there. I think this might be so particularly for Australia and new Zealand except that is when playing rugby or cricket I can remember when I was young that the Australian Government was giving financial inducement to GB poeple to emigrate there. I also have relatives in New Zealand. We still have found thoughts of your countries. Unfortunately economy comes first we dropped the Commonwealth Countries when we could make a bigger buck in Europe. No longer did we eat new Zealand Butter etc. I still buy New Zealand lamb if I can, even though I am surrounded by Welsh Speaking Sheep, baarrr.

I thought I cud see some one imitating you Peter I was going to call impostor but I did not have the German I am very glad that you are on Robi's now.

(I don't know if I mentioned it, but my father was English...from Bournemouth, so I guess you could say England has a spot in our hearts in this household)

Most "traditional" Ausies are like the English as regards their lack of additional language skills, although hand signals and "G'Day Mate" can get you out of a lot of trouble.

Funny story... a good friend of mine in the Land Rover Owners Club is English and when he came to Australia he couldn't understand why people kept calling him "mate" .... He kept saying to his wife "that bloke called me mate, but I've never seen him before in my life .... he's not a mate of mine"
We just call him Nigel now!!

2 x 712 SAN from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Europe - a tiny country about the size of the State of Rhode Island (wedged between Belgium and Germany). Should I ever want to organize a Pinzgauer Treffen I would need to request my neighbour countries for extra parking spots

Hello Jacques nice to see you here again. The county I live in, here in Texas, is only the third largest county in the state, and it is larger than either Rhode Island or Delaware, so your description of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is not too hard to visualize. It's amazing. Have a good day.

Seeing as we seem to have a few new Forum members I thought it might be worthwhile to re-introduce this topic to hopefully get a few more numbers on the board!

Normally in Lake Havasu City AZ.... but in the summer I normally bring her back to So. Cal area to get out of the heat....only 112 to 115 this week out there!

I know of 4 within 12 miles of me! in So. Cal and 2 within 3 miles in Havasu....
