There's been a change of plan/commitments for me. I am now going to meet up with you on Sunday instead of Saturday. I'll assume I'll meet you at the campsite at 9am on the Sunday unless I hear otherwise. I'll be able to check email/forum until late Saturday night.

How did it go? Sorry I couldn't make it, alternator failure (I think) meaning flat battery when I went to start it yesterday :(

It was a great weekend. Many thanks to Steve for organising it.

We had diesel pinzgauers, petrol pinzgauers, haflingers and a land rover or two.

I was a newbie having never done a green lane before. One highlight for me was managing to drive my stock petrol pinz through a deep muddy water hole and coming out the other side. Engine, ignition coil and distributer were all submerged and kept going.

There was an interesting uphill climb that I didn't get to see. Any pictures?

Really good to meet you all.

Huge thank you to Steve for the Salisbury plains weekend, we all had a great time and the boys have plenty to tell their friends with much exaggeration of course! This was first time off road for me, and given the handicap of my road tyres, one rescue (thanks to Paul) seems quite OK I think??
Any pictures would be good to see.
Highlight of the trip was the steep climb late Sat afternoon and the deep puddle which sent water half way up my wind screen and gave us all a shock!
Looking forward to next trip, wherever. Still cleaning mud off truck, flint piling up in the yard. Hope Andy and Joshua got home safely.
Nice meeting you all ( haffies included)
Regards
Gary and family

Hi Guys
Sorry but Ive had some internet problems with my old e mail account and cant log onto a number of sites with my old passwords

So had to reregister on this site as PINZ 716

Glad you enjoyed the weekend on Salisbury plain it was nice to meet everyone. Andy was transported back to the auto gearbox company where they found the problem with his 718 it was his rad leaking water into the auto oil cooler.
So his gearbox wasn't the problem but the oil cooler in the bottom of the rad was the problem. All done now so the gearboxes we have are fine

Will possibly organise the same thing for next year over the Plain with some different routes

I will post some pictures now that Im back on the net

Regards Steve

I know you guys get a bit of rain but, it looks as if you look for puddles go go through instead of around. Without too many hills
that is the next bit of fun for a pinz.

I like the 'Caution left hand drive' sign. Might put one on my vehicle...should cause some comments here.

Happy trails

Mike

I was thinking of inviting the US guys over for next years event, might be a bit more of a challenge if we do one in Wales.

You of course are invited
