I paint mine when I hit something or every year, whichever comes first. OD camo paint from WalMart..less than $15.
I try to keep the color reasonably close to the same each year.

Of course if you touch it up enough with the same stuff, the paint will eventually all match, right?

Is that a spray can or a gallon? Do you have a sprayer you use?

I know I buy Krylon Camo at Walmart, spray can...about $7.

Rattle cans. Usually keep one in the pinz. Several in the garage. Don't mess with it in the winter, it's a summer thing.

Well, I took my truck to a local mechanic I am familiar with, and it PASSED! The guys were blown away by the Pinz, and the one mechanic, who is an avid 4-wheeler, couldn't keep from inspecting everything! Anyway, I did discover a couple of things that annoyed me, mainly because I figured they would have been seen by Pinzgauer Canada before selling it....but then again, I guess I should have crawled under the truck in the snow to properly inspect it.

Anyway, the right front CV boot has a tear in it...and will need to be replaced...


And I believe this is the heater hose going into the collector? Anyway, it is torn right off and will need replacing...


The mechanic were very serious about inspecting the brakes, and I glad to report no issues there. Lots of pad and no leaking seals. The truck is now back in the garage where it will stay until the salt is washed from the roads!!

Boots are easy. Of course your first one will take 1.5 hours, the second one will take 45 minutes!

...also don't panic about the hose. Trim it and move it down till you can get a replacement. High temp tape will also work,...not duc tape.

Thanks! Are they all the same, or are they specific to front/rear, left right etc? I will probably grab a couple when I buy...saves on shipping.

Thanks Krick! Not worried....just explains why they there wasn't much heat coming from the engine.

Another possible choice for duct hose is from Aircraft Spruce: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ap/ducting.html
A bit pricey but I and others can tell you it does make a difference. It also holds up well to water, mud, etc.

When you do the axle boots, assuming you do the split ones, remember to get some Loctite 414 to glue/seal the split.

Thanks! I was wondering if the CEET tube from Aircraft Spruce would work. I bought some a couple of years ago for an airbox mod I made for my Ural.

Let Karl know about the boot and the ducting. He's apt to send you the parts. He sent me my oil pan gasket and brake light switch no charge 3 or 4 months after purchase
