How to restart an engine after new parts were installed, like pistons, cylinders and heads ?

I have lubricated all the parts with engine oil or assembly oil.

I turned the crank manually and slowly to make sure the pistons/rings are sliding smoothly without abnormal resistance.

I filled the engine with new oil 10w40 and new filter.

What's next ? I turned the engine with the starter and no spark plugs ?

Where do I need to look to check that oil is flowing to all the right places ? I leave the valve cover opened ?

And then ?

Probably a good thing to check the oil pressure switch when I get to start the engine for the first time.
I will first use the starter the rotate the engine, without fuel and spark plug,
to see if the oil is flowing to the right places.
Will this be enough to trigger the oil pressure switch ?
How is this switch working ? I just put my meter on it ? Is the circuit normally opened or closed ?

The switch should be normally closed, with no oil pressure, the switch provides a ground to the low oil pressure light. When pressure builds, the switch opens the ground is lost and the light goes out. According to the Repair Manual, the switch opens at .8 - 1.2 atm.
