Carb rebuild

I rebuilt the carbs in my 710 over the summer and after two months of every other day driving I had fouled the plugs, now two months after replacing the plugs I am starting to get the same symptoms, IE warm restart problems over and above the usual. I am worried that I have the wrong size jets in the carbs allowing it to run to rich. Has anyone had to re jet their carbs after a rebuild? And if so where can I get the jets?

Sounds like your float level is too high or you have a bad float valve.

Start by getting the float level checking tool from SAV

You do not need to change any jets!!

I second that. I have found that the main problem with my carbs has been keeping the float level correct. My guess is that as the needle valves seat in the valve body and wear slightly against the float arms that the float level has risen just enough to make everything too rich. The jets are a subtle change, in comparison.

Best of luck,

Well I checked the float level today, and if I did it correctly it looks like the float levels are within specs. So I am back to square one with carbs that are running too rich and fouling my plugs every two months!! Any suggestions?
