After adjusting my valves on my 710M, I went to adjust the carbs as recommended. I could not get it to idle correctly when I went through the carb adjustment procedures. Decided it must be time to boil out the carbs. Ordered the Carb Syncronizer, the float level tool, and two gasket sets. Got them all cleaned up while awaiting the gasket sets. When they arrived I got both carbs all put back together and reinstalled. Still could not get them to adjust to idle. Thought perhaps I should check the fuel shut-off solenoids for function. No joy. All 4 were not functioning.Check for current thru the wire to the 4 valves, no current. Traced the wire to the Molex plug and everything appeared intact but no juice.Stumped and frustrated. Glanced up at the breakers on the dash and noticed one had popped. Not sure why but it did and it turns out that was the one to the fuel shutoff solenoids circuit. Reset the breaker, re-connected everything and joy oh joy she purrs like a kitten.

The Pinz is a fairly basic vehicle but it is the little things that often get overlooked when trouble shooting a problem. I feel the tripped breaker was probably the problem from the start, although it sure didn't hurt to do the maintenance and adjustments on the carbs. Thought I would just share this small adventure with others so they would be spared the experience.

I press every one of my breakers about once a week if they need it or not. I have found that just because my pinz is running does not mean that all of the lights are on and working. The first time I tried pushing all of them I found out that I had a tripped breaker and at least one side had been without tail lights. It was odd because I had no idea there was a problem. I only did it because I had a good view of my pinz in a fast food joint window and they were so busy I was debating about going in. I had just finished winching some poor kid and his van back onto the road so I suspect that was when I tripped the breaker but it could have been tripped for days as far as I know. I wish they were more obvious when they were tripped but they sure beat the heck out of having to get under the dashboard, pulling an access panel and having to check fuses.
