On a subject a bit less than contraversial!
I did get the attention, now see if this does the same!
I am about to renew our shop tools for Pinzgauers after considerable use.

I am currently talking to some machine shops to copy the genuine factory tools we have as quality knock offs. If anyone is looking to compliment their home DIY Pinz workshop this si a great opportunity to have the right tool for the job.
Anyone wanting such tools can PM me or indicate their interest on this forum.

I suppose it really depends upon how deep you want to go into your Pinzgauer.

As you have probably observed there are contributors to these forum pages who do want to roll up ther sleeves and dive in whereas others will take their truck to a repair shop like mine and let us do the work.

I suppose the opportunity to do a stop ring seal might be attractive to an ambitious owner and that would dictate the need for an axle half extractor kit, a axle spreader wedge and to compliment the front axle half removal a spring compressor to remove the front coil which is under tremendous compression pressure. With those items you could just about tear down the whole truck if you had some propritory tools, wrenches, and a press.

Those would have been a great help when we replaced the boots and seals last summer!

I might still need some tools though the thoughts of a complete engine rebuild are looming in the back of my mind.

HAHAHA, I just finished up the back a week or so ago. Improvised a bit. The front would of course be a different story.

I'd love to have some of the proprietary tools for the Pinz. My motto, you can never have too many tools.

It would be nice to know what tools you can have made, their purpose and the price. Then it would be easier to decide what I might need.

Talk about an interest!
I got swamped with PM's on tools and questions.

So far I think I have sufficient solid enquiries for at least 10 extra sets so I will ask the machine shops I use to make me up at least that quantity as an initial batch set and see how they fly out the door.
I will be in touch shortly on a final price prediction.

How about asking your toolmaker for an idiot-proof reamer for the oversized carbie throttle shaft? When I spoke to you about my carbie situation, your comment was that nobody provided a -foolproof- tool for a good repair.
