Auto Dealership name

Hi all,
I will be opening a used car dealership located in a relatively rural (read country) area in SoCal. My primary business will be selling 3 types of vehicles.
1. 4x4s. Jeeps, Toyata, etc and maybe a couple of Pinz's and Mogs, thought those will mostly exist to attract customers to the lot.
2. Motorcycles. Primarily sportbikes, though some Harley's and dirt bikes will be available as the business grows.
3. Commuter cars such as Honda Civics, Toyota Corollas, etc.

I am working on coming up with a good name. So far I've come up with "Adventure Ready Vehicles" or "Action Motors"

any suggestions would be appreciated

PINZWHEELING MOTORS.
Catchy--everyone will want to know what a pinz is.

Well.... for the 1% of the population that knows what a Pinz is, that might be nice. LOL.

Action Motors is taken, I like the name, so a variation of it would be cool.

How about just "Adventure Vehicles" Its simple and you could use a AV logo to simulate a Mountain Valley scene.

Being from AZ I think I would steer away from anything with "Action" in it especially related to Pinzgauers.

I consulted with two friends that are in marketing, and they both said the same thing; keep it simple, and since it's a tight community, include the town name.

Coming soon.....

I know it's pretty conservative, but it keeps all possibilities open.

I think I'll have a totally separate business if the Pinzgauers or Mogs generate interest. I do like "Adventure Vehicles", I even like the logo.

Mike,
Are you going to have a 'service' department associated with this business?
It might be handy to have a place to take the pinz or the mog for some of the more involved repairs and services.

Cheers,
Morris

Hi Morris!
Not for a while. That might come up as the business grows, but I don't have the resources, or to be honest, the inclination to add anything else to my plate until it seems like it would make sense.
Three reasons not to have a service department:
1. I would have to hire a mechanic. As it stands right now, I'll barely be scraping by myself for the first few months and having to worry about a payroll would be too much.
2. Having a service department adds certain expectations of the dealership like the expectation that since I would have a garage and mechanic, they are "free" for the customer. While this may happen in the future, I'm not quite prepared to move forward with that for now.
3. The Pinzgauers, Unimogs, and other unusual items aren't really there to be "sold". Although they will be for sale, I would much rather have them sit on the lot and grab attention from customers who were driving by.

BTW, as soon as things get really rolling, I will be more than happy to hook anyone up with their vehicle needs. When I start trolling for business, I'll do it as a vendor though.

Besides, we have a pretty stellar resource in the San Bernadino area already!

Is this an"Action Mobile" reference? What's your beef? I here they don't sell Pinzgauers anymore. Did they go down for doing something shady?

Ahh, looks good :) .... but why not use the font Humanst521 UBd BT (well, that's what Corel call it) for the word "Pinzgauer"..... that's the "official" text font SDP used on all Pinzgauer brochures, manuals etc

Hehe, a friend suggested that I should have named the dealership "Pinzy's are us". Since the Pinzy's that will be there are mostly designed to attract attention as opposed to selling them, I didn't think it was appropriate. In addition to the Pinzy's, we will also have a 404 Doka out in front.

If nothing else, it should generate some floor traffic. One Pinz and the Mog out front, one Pinz right next to the office to ensure that people have to walk the entire lot to see it.
