Back-up light switch?

Where is a good place to get one? I understand they were used in Iveco Trucks and and some other appliactions.

Got mine from Expedition Imports. The are round 24 volt Hellas and look tough in their sealed rubber housing. 20 bucks without switch and wiring.

Find out what the tread size is and search for a momentary 'ON" switch with the same travel limit that is stout enough to handle vibration, oil, water, and heat. I think you will find that SAV's pricing is pretty fair on this one.

European Pinzers:
there is such a switch on some IVECO light trucks that have a ZF manual transmission. The switch can be obtained for a few euros at IVECO parts dealers.
And I suspect that many other European cars and trocks use the same or similar switch on ZF trasmission (sorry Dennis ... i meant gearbox!!!)

Since we are being "international" here the same switch can be found on a U series Mogs at about a third of the price. However due to the fact that some folk over this side of the pond think G wagons and Mogs are "exotica" they are priced accordingly. We get actually 'em reasonably priced from Merb UK but the Dollar versus the Pound (Quid) doesn't make it too attractive when green paper is in your wallet!
I suppose I could look to the southern part of the Americas (like Argentina & Chile) but if I mentioned "transmision" I would get the same confused blank stare like I do up here when mentioning "GEARBOX", however the words "Caja de velocidades" means the "Gearbox" just like "Boite de vitesse" does to the north of you.
Really a few decades ago I was visiting our Belgian agent (then considered the crossroads of Europe) when I worked for a big truck maker. I was impressed by the parts men who conducted a multi lingual conversation with customers at the counter and on the phone. Not easy to go from German technical to French workshop banter in a flash and not get your mental "Getreibe" into the correct speed!

Hey Ugo,
Have you ever tried if a zf gearbox from an Iveco 30-8 fits on a Pinzgauer? Of course one have to be carefull in first gear as the gearbox will only allow up to 160 NM in first gear (really short) - so don't spin the tires in first gear.
Can you locate one somewhere in your area and the price for it - for testing purpose. We would like to see if they will fit on a Pinzgauer.

We carry the switch 7161850320 in stock priced at $28. The pin as well. If you want a screw on sealed connector add another $20+, but standard terminals fit with not problems.
We are updating our pinzy parts on the web this month, I'll make sure this one makes it in early next week.

All I wanted to know was the UK address you use for buying the reverse light switches.
Can't see the logic in me buying one from your side of the pond, when it may have started life on this side of the pond ??

I get these parts from Mercedes Benz UK as I have an account with them being a motor trader and importer. These channels of supply are not open as far as I am infromed to the general public or companies not active as Benz agents etc. So trying to get them from my sources would not be forthcoming.
What I suggest you do is contact your nearest Mercedes Truck dealer and give him the number Scott has kindly given everyone. They will be able to obtain the switch directly for you.
