Not sure of non-pinz parts people, but I removed my OEM speedo and replaced with Electronic type, so I have a complete one I am not using. PM me if you can't find what you need.

basically unless you have an attachment to the original speedo the electro one is nice and can be adjusted to be more accurate with different tires than the original and gives the option of miles or kilometers.

Mike,
After installation I had the use of a GPS from Jim L. during the Ramona Tech day. Using that device, I was (with Jim's help) able to tune the new speedo to within 1/10 of a mph. I have 33's on and not the stock maloyas so I was always having to figure the kph/mph and the % of change for distance. PITA till I got the new device.

I know what you mean. I have the widened steel rims with 285/75's on my 712 and 265/75 on my 710. I have a decent garmin gps unit and was able to set the speedo's on both trucks very close to actual speeds. The wife likes not having to figure out what speed she is doing when driving the trucks also.
I would not have changed them but the speedo's gave up the ghost at about the same time so I figured why not just fix all the speedo related problems at once.
The gas gauges are nice as well. I have the ones that SAV sells and they are adjustable and read all the way to empty so you don't have to guess how much fuel is left in the tank.

Where did everyone get their VDO electronic speedos? I checked both the SAV and EI sites, with many different speedos on the SAV site.

SAV for both and they work flawlessly. Direction included were spot on. I had to adjust them to fit the different tire sizes but after adjustment they work great.

I guess it would be the same in the US, but I just went to a "Automotive Instrument" repairer and he made me up a new cable (I needed it a little longer than the original SDP part after I converted the Pinny to RHD)
I gave her (it was a women who runs the shop) the length and he knew the ferrules required and he swaged them on the outer cable and made me a new inner as well.....I think it cost around $60 US.
where do I get...

Got my speedo from SAV. It is spot on. The intresting thing is the 'test' mode it goes into on start up.
