You long time Pinzgauer owners probably know about this place but I just came across it and it certainly looks like they have lots of the oddball spares that folks seem to be in search of regularly. Belts, pumps, seals, gaskets etc etc

That's a good source. It's also fun to look at
www.ebay.de or
www.ebay.ch, which is ebay germany and ebay switzerland, and type in Pinzgauer. I haven't searched ebay austria yet. Right now there are some of the elusive warm weather door tops going for 99 euro each on the german one- and they're NOS.

Wow, was looking at the German Ebay. Some really cool stuff on there. I really want one of those 1:35 scale models! For under 20 Euros's that's not too bad. Most of that stuff is just as expensive as over here, plus you'ld have to ship it!

Given your strong reaction to those door tops, I emailed the guy to confirm what they were. Unfortunately, they're the plain old steel framed units typical of a 710/712.

I Think Scott at E.I. is working door soft tops. Last I heard they were better than the factory option. Maybe he will chime in on the progress

Why don't you solicit folks here to see how many people would actually pay for them? You might be surprised at the number of people who would pay $250 (?) for a set of these. Jst thinking out loud....

Have you checked Mcmaster.com for weatherstripping profiles? They have a lot of versions. Or, can the profile be used for another part of the Pinz? Would it be able to seal the area on an M where the top rolls over the metal body? I'd like to seal that up better and it would take a lot linear feet. Just ideas.
