Pinzgauer or C303

Post by Vinken »

Hello guys (and girls...?),

Because I'm new on the forum let me first introduce myself. My name is Joost, 28 years old and living in the Netherlands. Since I first saw the Pinzgauer about 3 weeks ago i fell in love with it. It looks really wonderfull (imo), and everywhere a read about it quality is the key-word. But before i buy one in an impulse I'm doing a little bit of research on the web, looking for comparable cars. I think there's only one and that must be the C303? In love with the Pinz it feels like cheating when seriously looking for a C303, but to be honest: that car isn't bad at all, is it?

I found a thread pinz vs. c303 (lindenenginering?), but it doesn't really answers my questions as to where the biggest differences appear. Think it's something very personal too. My question to you guys is: which of the 2 do you love, and why do you prefer it above the other. This must be discussed more then once, so if you could tell me where i could read about this subject i will be glad too! What appeals to me personally is a car that can be serviced "quite easy...". Reason therefore is that I'm a non-technichan (willing to learn) and will need some friends help to do the job for me.

Another question (maybe not ok to post 2 at once...) is: what are specific (dis)advantages of the M en the K?.

Thanx and keep up the good work with the forum!!!

Pinz vs. Volvo

Post by Wayne Roberts »

Welcome to the madness! I believe that you will be much happier with a Pinzgauer that a Volvo. There are few parts left for the Volvo. The Pinzgauer parts are available and they are very easy to work on. I have a M and love the ability to roll up the sides. I live in Florida (it was almost 90 yesterday) and it is comfortable to drive when moving. The K is just too hot in the summer for my taste. My advice, just buy it and have fun. Life is too short to worry about it. Pinzgauers have held there value and prices have been going up lately. Share a picture when you get your truck.
