I've emailed Vince to see if he might be able to add an additional page to the forum where members can post their location on a map along with details about their ability to host fellow Pinzgauer owners passing through or who might have work space available if there's a need.

Let's see what he comes up with.

Vince says this is not an option for him to undertake based on his website management and IT talents.

Do we have another candidate who can provide the forum members with an online resource that pin points where fellow Pinzgauer owners reside?

Maybe a permanent link to the frappr map can be set up?

Gee, do you think all of those women are driving Pinzgauers?!?!?!?!

Seriously, could we establish one of these pages without the...distractions?

I checked out the map and noticed there is an edit for moving the pin. I'll be moving in the spring and can shift my pin then. Going to Denver.

Oh yeah, there were girls. Didn't equate with anything Pinzgauer, just nice wallpaper.

Happy trails,
Morris

So I guess it's up to us to note our locations on this map and remind folks to check it out before any road trips in their Pinzs?

I sure wish we could add it this forum though.

Maybe there is a way to reference the link in a special post.

It can be done pretty easily, a link can be added at the top to a blank page with the code they provide and you'll get something that looks like this or the map can even be embedded using the same code.

The changes needs to be made in /template/overall_header.html like was done for the SPAM instructions and the EI add.

Another possible option would be to put it in a Sticky.

I can help if needed.

My personal preference would be for this to be another main tab along with technical, classified etc.

Alternatively, I'd move Scott's ad to the left a little bit and put this map in the top right corner - smaller. If folks want to look at the map, they click on it and they go wherever from there.

I quite like it where it is! ...it's readily available on all pages.
I see the map merely as a handy item to see where enthusiastic Pinzgauer owners are throughout the world.
I doubt whether I'II use it for anything more than just seeing where a particular "poster" lives" and for a quick pic of there Pinzgauer.

One gripe on the map itself is that it a pity it can't just be for Pinny owners themselves.
I'm not in any way anti Haffy's, (gee's I have two and I started off in them 30+ years ago) but I think Haflingers should be on a seperate "sister" map and I'd be against Pinny owners posting on that!

Peter - It's OK where it is I guess but I do disagree on Haflingers being on a different page. I think they should be together with us.

Those mog people however do need to be on their own map!!!
