Hi All,

Due to the unfortunate demise of my tranny (more on that later), I've pulled my clutch to inspect it. Can anyone supply the torque specs for the six pressure plate bolts in ft/lbs, as that's the only torque wrench we've got?

Here's my tale of woe: I'd just gotten done replacing my brake light switch, bleeding & adjusting all 6 brakes, replacing the flasher module, the bushing in one rear leafspring(!), and an axle boot, and bit the bullet and finally ordered 7 new tires. So what's next? 2 days later, some little wire-thingamajiggy broke in the transmission which allowed something to erupt through the side of the case. :(

I must have upset it's equilibrium, I guess. Anyway, if anybody's got the torque specs, I'd sure appreciate the help.

Not sure if the manual lists this, but in general the following is true on M8 Bolts:

M8 x 1.25
Non-Yielding
6.9 = 24
8.8 = 25
10.9 = 34
12.9 = 43

Necked Down
8.8=19
10.9=25
12.9=30

M8 x 1.0
Non Yielding
6.9=27
8.8=30
10.9=40
12.9=50

Necked Down
8.8=25
10.9=32
12.9=38
