THE PORTAL HUB - Pinzgauers, Haflingers, Volvo 303s and more!

After many years of growing obsession with Pinzgauers and Unimogs I finally made the leap into military vehicles this weekend and bought a 1975 Pinzgauer 710M with only 33,000 original kilometers on it. After some minor preventative maintenance this week the truck should be delivered next weekend. I was wondering if there are some other Las Vegas area Pinz owners here I could turn to for advice on registering the truck and where to smog it. It looks like I can qualify for Classic Vehicle status since it's stock but will have to smog it initially to qualify.

I have a bad feeling this is going to be another expensive hobby for me.

You're not in Cal, so you shouldn't have any problems with registration.

If you're up to a roadtrip ( even without your new Pinz), Come down to Irwindale on Sunday, March 14th, for the Annual Gathering. See the thread in 'Events'. In the past, there have been Pinzers from Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.
If you wanted to make a weekend of it, there is this amusement park about 30 minutes away that I have heard is very entertaining call 'DisneyLand'.
