door rollers

Sunday the door roller popped out in two pieces, so I went online and ordered one from EI. They are $7+ and postage.
While at the DMV today (lots of time to sit there and think) I was rolling the pieces around in my hand just wondering about what could I make out of this very cleverly designed scrap? Hmmmm
Stopped by the hardware store on the way home and purchased a nylon bushing the same OD as the inside of the roller and 4- 1'' washers with 1/4 holes. Put two on each side of the bushing and I now have a roller for the door spring for $1.71...works the same as the original.
